Membership Benefits

The Chapter host monthly general membership meetings held on the third Tuesday of the month and provides a forum for the in-person exchange of ideas.  Membership provides access to the meeting agenda and allows members to contribute to setting items on the monthly agenda.

  • As an ICC Preferred Provider, the chapter hosts seminars presented by recognized experts and professionals on a variety of topics applicable to the enforcement of the California Building Standards Code.  Members are able to influence the topics, location, and scheduled dates for the training.

  • Frequently programs are hosted at the end of the monthly general membership meeting.

  • Members are invited to participate in various activities including Student lunches, on-campus recruiting, and to invite their staff to apply for student scholarships.

  • Members are kept apprised of upcoming State legislation and may be able to influence the outcome of State legislation through the Chapter and CALBO.

  • Members can participate through the various technical committees to provide input on proposed code changes that may impact operations and administration of the local permit and inspection process.

  • Members can ask questions of the month or may get responses to questions as part of the "good of the order" segment of the monthly general membership meetings.

  • Members may benefit from discounts to virtual training, access to electronic codes and standards as well as discounts on bulk orders for physical codebooks.
